‘Let’s Go, Bananas!’ Nominated for Best Inclusivity at the 2026 Kidscreen Awards

We’re thrilled to share that the nominations for the 2026 Kidscreen Awards have been announced! This annual celebration of excellence in children’s content honors outstanding achievements in TV and digital media that entertain kids and families worldwide. Now in its 17th year, the Kidscreen Awards typically attract more than 500 entries across 50+ categories spanning programming and digital media.
9 Story Media Group and Brown Bag Films are proud to announce that our hit animated series Let’s Go, Bananas! (Cartoonito, HBO Max) has been nominated for Best Inclusivity (Preschool) at this year’s awards. Joining Let’s Go, Bananas! in this category are Alma’s Way (Fred Rogers Productions, Pipeline Studios) and Carl the Collector (Fuzzytown Productions, Spiffy Pictures, Yowza! Animation!).
Let’s Go, Bananas! was developed and produced by 9 Story Media Group with stunning animation from Brown Bag Films’ Toronto studio. The series is a feel-good celebration of the realities of family life; messy, joyful, chaotic, wonderful, and of course, totally BANANAS!
Let’s Go, Bananas! was created by award-winning writer and producer Tim Bain, creator of action-comedy series Kangaroo Beach and writer on hit children’s series including Bluey, PJ Masks, Thomas the Tank Engine and Aardman’s Epic Adventures of Morph. The show is inspired by Tim’s own family and features a community of three sweet and silly animal families, the Bananas (gorillas), Crockers (crocodiles) and Tiger-Zelles (tigers and gazelles). Let’s Go, Bananas! is also written by Tim and directed by Brown Bag Films’ own Matt Mitchell (Let’s Go Luna, Rosie’s Rules).

We’re thrilled to congratulate our partner, Fred Rogers Productions on their Kidscreen Award nominations Best Alternative Game (Preschool) for the Daniel Tiger game Look Closely (Fred Rogers Productions, Curious Media). Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is produced by Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Media Group, animated by Brown Bag Films, with 9 Story holding worldwide licensing and distribution rights.
We’re also celebrating Scholastic Entertainment’s nomination for Goosebumps: The Vanishing (Sony Pictures Television, Disney Branded Television) in the category Best Live-Action Series (Tweens/Teens).
A huge round of applause to our incredible 9 Story and Brown Bag Films teams, our partners, and all the nominees! See the full list of nominations here!
And stay tuned! This year’s winners will be announced and celebrated at a Tuesday evening awards ceremony taking place during Kidscreen Summit 2026 in San Diego (February 22 to 25).
