Let's Go, Bananas!
Airing on CBC
Three sweet, silly, diverse families share each other’s lives, loves, triumphs, and tantrums in relatable tales told by their five funny and fabulous kids. It’s a feel-good celebration of the realities of family life – messy, joyful, chaotic, wonderful, and, of course, completely BANANAS.
Let’s Go, Bananas! is a vibrant animated preschool series created by award-winning writer and producer Tim Bain, creator of action-comedy series Kangaroo Beach and writer on hit children’s series including Bluey, PJ Masks, Thomas the Tank Engine and Aardman’s Epic Adventures of Morph.
Produced by 9 Story Media Group in partnership with CBC Kids and Sky Kids and animated by our Brown Bag Films Toronto studio, the show is described as “Modern Family for preschoolers” and celebrates diversity, humor, and heart through everyday adventures.
Set in a whimsical treehouse apartment, the series follows three loving, non-traditional animal families—the Bananas, the Tiger-Zelles, and the Crockers—through the eyes of their five kids: Apple, Stellar, Piper, Josh, and Jamie. Together, these friends form the Jungle Squad and tackle relatable challenges like family traditions, friendship, and problem-solving, all with plenty of laughs and catchy songs.
Directed by Matt Mitchell, with writing led by Tim Bain and story editing by Jen Upton, Let’s Go, Bananas! blends humor, music, and heartfelt storytelling to create a fun, inclusive world where kids learn about family, empathy, and cooperation.
The voice cast features Grace Nicolaou-Wood as Apple Banana, Mia SwamiNathan as Stellar Tiger-Zelle, Nova McKay as Piper, Lucien Duncan-Reid as Josh Crocker, and Rain Janjua as Jamie Crocker. Supporting roles include Kareem Vaude (Daddy Banana), Jonathan Tan (Papa Banana), Julius Cho (Dad Tiger-Zelle), Meghan Swaby (Mom Tiger-Zelle), and Paloma Nuñez (Mama Crocker).
Let’s Go, Bananas! premiered on October 3, 2024 on Cartoon Network’s Cartoonito block.
