An Ode to Love

An Ode to Love...

Written and directed by Matthew Darragh, An Ode To Love tells the story of a man on a desert island who falls in love with a stick...

A lonely man on a desert island explores the highs and lows of romantic love when a mysterious companion is washed ashore. Nothing will ever be the same. Or will it?

An Ode To Love has been made with the support of Filmbase and RTE, who together with IMRO have also given us the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the RTE Concert Orchestra.

An Ode To Love was awarded for Best Irish Animation in the 2014 Foyle Film Festival where it made its premiere screening.

In 2015, An Ode to Love was nominated for an IFTA for Best Animation. It also went on to receive the award for Best Animation at the Chicago Reel Shorts Film Festival and Best Animated Film at Rome International Film Festival.
